If we combine Sardinia and cycle touring, the result is a fantastic trip. Off the western coast of Italy lies this island, one of the largest and most beautiful in the Mediterranean Sea. With an area of approximately 24,000 km², Sardinia offers an incredibly diverse landscape that makes it a perfect destination for cycling: white sandy beaches, towering cliffs, mountains that rise above the sea to 1,834 m, lush forests, rivers, and lakes. As a whole, the island is a true paradise that invites you to unleash your senses. We have chosen the southwest coast of Sardinia, where we will travel through a combination of breathtaking landscapes, quiet roads, and charming villages. Our 5-stage tour begins in Cabras and concludes in its capital, Cagliari, covering a distance of approximately 270 km.
We invite you to share in the province of Mendoza the picturesque city of San Rafael where the bicycle is one of the favorite transports of the city, full of circuits, cycle paths. It is a beautiful place for cycling, the same inhabitants enjoy its paths daily, which are constituted as extensions of the environment. We will enjoy beautiful hills, reservoirs, wineries, the Atuel Canyon, Valle Grande, the Los Reyunos dam, the Villa 25 de Mayo, which is an icon of the foundation of San Rafael. On this journey we will travel by bicycle through two provinces in northern Argentina. During the winter holidays, we propose a cycle tour from the picturesque city of Villa Merlo, located at the foot of the Comechingones mountains, recognized worldwide for its benign microclimate. The proposal is to make three bike circuits of approx. 50/60 km, moderate difficulty.
We will enjoy our winter holidays in Córdoba, we will stay four nights at the Hotel and Spa Berna, in Villa Gral. Belgrano, we will travel with our bike its surroundings and the towns of Sta. Rosa de Calamuchita, Los Reartes and La Cumbrecita, we will contemplate numerous natural, historical and cultural attractions. We will pass through beautiful roads, trails bordering rivers, we will visit its old town centers, we will taste its typical regional foods and traditional craft beer.
It is a landscape itinerary that will permanently dazzle our eyes and senses throughout its journey. It has its starting point in the city of Esquel, we will discover along the route permanent changes of panoramas, whose maximum milestones are made up of the passage from the Patagonian steppe to the Andean forest, with its numerous lakes and rivers. We will enjoy a full outdoor activity, camping in front of the lakes and then in a mountain inn near El Bolsón.
